COPE

JIPA is fully committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All editorial and publishing processes within this journal strictly adhere to the guidelines and core principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All parties involved in the publication process — including Authors, Peer Reviewers, and the Editorial Board — are expected to understand, respect, and comply with the following ethical standards:

1. Authors Duties

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscript is entirely their own original work and free from any form of plagiarism, fabrication, or data falsification.

  • Multiple Submissions: Authors are strictly prohibited from submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal (simultaneous/multiple submission).

  • Authorship: Only individuals who have made a substantial and tangible contribution to the conception, execution, and drafting of the manuscript should be listed as co-authors.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must transparently disclose any potential financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their research.

  • Correction of Fundamental Errors: Authors are obligated to promptly notify the Editor if they discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published or unpublished manuscript to facilitate corrections or errata.

2. Reviewers Duties

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscript and all information contained therein during the review process. Manuscripts must not be shared or discussed with third parties without written authorization from the Editor.

  • Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively, honestly, and without personal bias, supported by clear and constructive scientific arguments.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must immediately disclose any conflicts of interest to the Editor and decline the review assignment if they have competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors or institutions involved.

  • Information Integrity: Reviewers must not use unpublished data, information, or ideas from the manuscript for personal gain or commercial purposes.

3. Editors Duties

  • Independent Decisions: Editorial decisions (acceptance/rejection) must be made independently, fairly, and objectively based solely on the manuscript's scientific quality, without regard to the author's race, gender, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy.

  • System Confidentiality: Editors must strictly protect the anonymity of both Authors and Reviewers in accordance with the established Double-Blind Peer Review policy.

  • Handling Misconduct: Editors must address any allegations of publication misconduct transparently, systematically, and responsibly following the official COPE flowcharts.

  • Corrections and Retractions: Editors must be prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, or execute retractions whenever authentic evidence of critical errors or ethical violations is discovered.
