Open Access Policy

Jurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal) provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All content published in this journal can be accessed free of charge and without prior registration.

The Open Access Policy is implemented to support the widest possible dissemination and promotion of scholarly knowledge in the fields of humaniora and related multidisciplinary studies.

All articles published by Jurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal) are made immediately available worldwide under an open access license. This means that:

  • Everyone has free and unlimited access to the full text of all articles and other published materials in the journal; and

  • Everyone is free to re-use the published material, provided that proper attribution and citation of the original publication are given, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).


Permissions

No special permission is required to reuse all or part of articles published in Jurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal), including figures and tables. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License, which permits reuse, distribution, and reproduction in any medium for non-commercial purposes, provided that the original work is properly cited.

Reuse of published materials does not imply endorsement by the authors or by Jurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal).


Meaning of Open Access

In accordance with major definitions of open access in scientific literature—namely the Budapest, Berlin, and Bethesda DeclarationsJurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal) defines open access by the following conditions:

  • Peer-reviewed literature is freely available without subscription or price barriers;

  • Literature is published immediately in open access format without any embargo period; and

  • Published materials may be reused without obtaining permission, provided that proper citation to the original publication is given.

This means that all articles published in Jurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal), including data, figures, tables, and supplementary materials, may be linked from external sources, indexed by search engines, reused for text mining, and shared through websites, blogs, and other platforms free of charge, as long as appropriate credit is given to the original source and publisher.

The journal believes that open access publishing promotes the exchange of research results across disciplines, facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration, and increases global accessibility to scholarly knowledge, including for researchers in developing countries and the wider public. While adopting a full open access model, Jurnal Humaniora Universal Indonesia (Universal Humanities Journal) acknowledges that open access can coexist with other scholarly communication practices such as society-based publishing and academic conferences.
